Dear Students and Families,

I am thrilled to be your teacher this year! This is my fifth year teaching at CT. It is going to be an exciting school year, as students continue building their confidence, independence, knowledge base, and creativity.

I have enjoyed a career in education for over 15 years.  My bachelor’s degree is in Child Development from Cal Poly SLO, and I hold both a multiple subject and a history teaching credential. This will be my eleventh year teaching sixth grade.  I absolutely love working with middle-school-age students as they embark on a new and exciting phase in life.  Their inquisitive minds, developing personalities, and non-stop energy make my job fun and very rewarding.

I live in Scotts Valley with my husband and our two wonderful children, James and Danika (ages 16 & 15). We adore our family pets: golden retriever, border collie, cat, and seven hens.  Prior to purchasing our home in Scotts Valley, we lived in Boulder Creek for 12 years.  One of the many draws to apply at C.T. English was the fact that Loma Prieta is the type of small, close-knit community in which I wanted to work. A few of my favorite pastimes include: being with my family, camping, hiking, gardening, traveling, trying new cuisine, reading, walking my dog, and meeting with friends for coffee!
